Here are the presentations from the day
Nick eloquently began the conference on a really
positive note. Pitched perfectly with very little jargon a theme developed around a partnership-working approach to dementia care in
communities. Nick described the need for
non-clinical organisations to develop more robust evaluation of their work in particular cost benefit analysis - if they are to grab the attention
of the NHS. Nick reminded us of the real need for dementia friendly communities to
engage all people, health and non-health professionals, in providing quality support to people living with dementia in communities.
Norrms MacNamara held our attention as he shared his personal experiences of living with dementia and the creation and spreading of the Purple Angel network.
